Hey
Sorry never been to lagos, but i have been to Ericeira near lisboa.
I can say its a very nice area with some of the best waves in portugal.
You got, coxos, super tubos, reef, peda branka and so on.
I stayed at a surfcamp (rapturecamps) which was quite helpfull as the guides are all from Oz, so they know what they are doing.
We surfed heaps every day, the area is perfect for good surf and partying in summer.
Hope that helps any furter.

Cheers

When are you going? I'm probably going to Sagres in april since I think there's a better chance of swell there. Does anyone know about cheap accomodation there? Is it possible perhaps to camp somewhere for free? I know it's not allowed but I don't know if the police fines you for it?

Hi,

I was in Sagres in april two years ago. We slept in the van and there was no problem at all!

I have friends from Biarritz, France who just spent 6 months doing European and East Asian surfing spots, and they liked staying and surfing around Lagos the best of their whole trip.
