I'm off to Souther California in March, staying at Laguna beach.

Will have a car and a longboard.

Any advice on where I should head to surf,

What's the water temp going to be like by then? Summer suit weather?

Thanks

Socal is a bit fickle in march can be really good and really bad depends if you luck out or not but thus far this winter has been crap as far as big swells go so who knows maybe its holding off for spring (being optimistic here). Water temps wont be so bad you can get away with a 3/2 full suit no prob

Well on the basis I don't usuall get lucky, I wouldn't hold your breath for the first week in March.

Will be nice to be surfing in a 3/2 again :D

Chriss,
Plan on surfing at San Onefre, CA. It is 24 miles south of Laguna Beach. March is my favorite time of year there. Big, slow moving swells. Rides can be 30 to 45 seconds. If you are really good, they can be longer. Great for long board. Lots of mellow old guys and sunshine. There are 3 primary breaks. The southernmost one is the easiest. The northern one is the most advanced. Don't overlook the freshwater showers hidden in the bamboo stands.

Great thanks, was definitely on my list of places to go. Now moved up the list.

Sounds like it may be better than I was expecting.
