I was out there mid December. Anchors is definitely the best wave in tagazhoute - when we arrived it was cranking head and a half the first two days, covering up on a few of the inside sections! You can gurantee Anchors will host the largest waves pretty much in Tagazhoute. If its too sizey - i saw last week some pics and it was 14ft+ ! - you can just check out one of the surrounding breaks mate, they all vary in size and power. I guess Anchors can be pretty sketchy when its big as the take off is smack bang in front of some rocks on the point. Right next to Anchors is Mysteries, a beach break, which i found to be a much smaller and mellower wave. Further on from there is Killer point which breaks over a rock bottom - the wave here is usually a couple of feet smaller than anchors altho just as heavy... really enjoyed this wave whilst i was there! Further in to tagazhoute the opposite way from Anchors is Hash point and Panama, both of which broke 2-4 ft smaller and a lot mellower. So dude you can take your pick to what suits.
Also, if theres no surf, even at Anchor point, head north for 30 mins to Boilers or Tamri. We did it one day when Anchors was small - 3-4ft - and i couldnt believe how big and heavy it was just that further up the coast. Boilers was massive, double overhead and firing. We hit Tamri beach which was head and half, barrelling and howling offshore. We also had it all to ourselves!! Enjoy it out there dude, I'm craving another trip out there before the end of March/the season hits.
