Hello folks!
I am planning a trip to South East Asia in late Jan and onwards to learn how to surf, do some diving, party and meet loads of cool people!!! Sounds good eh? =9
I am 23 yrs old and have tried surfing in Tarifa, Spain...I managed to stand up a few times but other than that I am a total beginner!
I haven't got a big budget, hoping to get buy with aprox 30 US dollars a day...

Anyway I've got a few questions...

1. Where are the good beginners spots?
2. Will I get good beginners waves in feb and onwards?
3.Any other word of advice you want to give me? =9

I'd really appreciate any help you can give me!!!

Cheers!

Hey there
Should you choose to go to Indonesia, go to Bali (other places have bigger waves and more than likely not suitable for beginners) and stay around Kuta beach (which is where all the party happens until the morning :D )

In January and February the size of the waves on Kuta should be fine for you.

As for cheap accommodations, there are plenty to meet your $30 budget (I assume it's American Dollars). Beer is about $2 at the pubs and clubs, happy hour buy 1 get 1 free before 11pm or midnight (depending where) and food is not that expensive too. Once you get there, you can meet people and maybe they can share too. Locals are nice and very informative. Just stay away from the illegal stuff, trust me you don't want to mess with the law.

Enjoy and let me know if you need more info.

Good luck!!
