Hey guys, I'm a Sophomore in college looking to transfer schools for numerous reasons. I applied to UNC- Wilmington. I'm majoring in Finance and want to keep my major. Does anybody know of any good schools that are good for surfing and no more than $22,000 a year? I looked into the College of Charleston, but they don't have my major. I have an overall gpa of a 3.7. I currently go to Coastal Carolina University.

He didn't ask you where you have been for the last year or whether you thought college was any good or not.

Try transferring to overseas college with good waves. Australia maybe? I mean, they speak English, and I think they have more surfing spots than any other English speaking country. And with the good US Dollar exchange rates these days, with that much money, you should be able to afford school tuition and living costs. Good luck!!

Thromback, you have got to come to California. I know the US Eastern seaboard well. It's particularly quaint in the southern states, but nothing beats California for surf. Look at UC Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles. Look at the uni in San Diego. Also look at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo.
Precaution: When my neice came here from Georgia 5 years ago for Uni, the California schools had a funny rule. Students had to be off their parents support for two years.
On the other hand: if you are pursuing finance, none of the southern schools you mentioned are finance institutes. Believe it or not, the Alabama school in Tuscoloosa is. But, the problem (my belief) with business degrees from many southern and southeastern state schools is that they are only esteemed regionally. Now, get your finance degree from UCLA like a young German friend I surf with, and you've got something.
