19 at college, and unsure where to move when I graduate

Postby Guest » Sun Nov 30, 2008 10:16 pm

Hey guys just wanted to give you a little background about myself. I have about a 3.6 gpa and I'm double majoring in finance and accounting, with a minor in international business. I attend college at Coastal Carolina University and I do get to surf year round (only decent around hurricane season though :/ ) I applied to uncw, and I am probably transferring to Wilmington because it's an hour and a half from my college and the waves there are far better. I really have a goal of working as a financial analyst, but I want to live somewhere warm-- with good surf. I know that's extremely limited because most of the great surf places around the world only have jobs in hospitality. I waited tables for about 2 years (on and off), and don't mind it. I interned as a it audit manager at a hotel this past summer and hated it. I really just want to move to Australia, Hawaii, or California. The problem is that I want a job in finance and live near the beach, so I can have consistent surf. I will be graduating in less than two years and I do not want to go back to NYC for work (we do have a few average surf spots though). Any suggestions of possible places to live???

There's your problem
You'd better just keep your fingers crossed that this turmoil is all over by the time you're hunting for a job.
No financial firms are hiring in Sydney right now (and wont be for a while I reckon), so you can cross that off your list.
