heya, i've been thinking about taking a working holiday for maybe a year or so to california. what im thinking is go for a holiday for 2 weeks and check out some places whilst i was there. the ideal location would be (obviously close to a good break) but somewhere i could get work to fund the trip and a place to rent or even shared accomodation over there. the closer all three are together the better. i dont really know any thing about california and was wondering if anybody knew anything that could help? so far its just an idea, and definately something i'm looking to do! thats why i need to know where the best kinda places for me too look at on the 2 weeks there to set things up for when i arrive. my question is.... where are the best places to look at which accomodate for all three? so far its just me but possibilely two of us. Thanks alot for your help guys!! much much appreciated!!!

What work skills do you have? The job market here is not to open at present, so I would definitely make those arrangements prior to coming.
Try www.monster.com or www.craigslist.com It might be area specific but it's good for a start

California is a large, long state. Any idea what General area your targeting (North, South, Central)?

Should be pretty easy for you to get together in Pacific Beach San Diego.

We'll I favor San Clemente of course since I live here. Were 10 min. from Trestles, Salt Creek and not far from a lot of O.C. breaks. Within an Hour of San Diego breaks and the Mexican border and most the L.A. breaks. Lots of surf to choose from. Plus it's not a bad place to live. Dana Point is nice as well, right next door
