Try this. google surf long island and there are loads of hits. even if it refers you to a shop go and ask. Just dont get fleeced.

I've been looking for a new job for awhile. I'm focusing on locations with surf. One potential opportunity arose at Brookhaven National Lab. I was OK with that because I figured I'd be able to surf at Long Island. About that time, an opportunity surfaced near Las Vegas. This opportunity was quickly rejected by me.
