Cornwall - Best beaches?

Hi guys! Hope everybody's had a great day. Just wanted to ask some quick questions about Cornwall.

1) What do you consider to be the best spots in the Cornwall area?
2) At what time of year is it best to travel to Cornwall?
3) Does any locals know if it's gonna be good condition this weekend (or next)?

Looking forward to hearing your answers.

Cheers!

Best beaches depends on your ability really and also type of board you ride. At least that's what I've learned. My mate whose much better than me rides a 7'2" and rides Head and overhead. I ride a 8' minimal and am currently limited to chest height.
But if your question os more to do with which spots are more likely to be working than others, then I pass to the more experienced dudes who I'm sure will point you in the right direction.

hmmmm, i rekon your best bet is to try this.. http://magicseaweed.com/UK-Ireland-Surf-Forecast/1/ its good all over. however when you get further north, between bude and up to saunton, croyde and woolacombe area, its quite reefy between those two spots because the majority of that area is protected from sw swells by the land that jets out just north of bude.. Cornwall's genrally good all round but summer would be the nicest time to go, you can normally get away with board shorts and a rash vest in summer, but like all of the south coast, winter is wetsuits and boots.. hope that helps... zack

There is no need for abuse on this site, i am sure the moderators would say the same. Chill out, i`m guessing you haven't had a surf for sometime.

At least he got Cornwall as part of the MSW "UK-Ireland" forecast. So I'll be generous and award 1/2 point.

wrong? the only thing thats wrong about that sweetheart is sw swells, was suppost to be winds. maybe board short n rash vest to but it depends how used to the cold you are. (summer specific) and if you're unsure about the reef, dive in and find out.

So...
Swells - wrong
Rash vest - wrong.
Summer - definitely wrong.
MSW - not wrong, but kooky advice.

I'd say thats pretty wrong.

Oh yeah, and put the testosterone away, boy.

No I totally agree.

Summer is deffo the best time to go. Everybody should give up going in the autumn and winter, there really is nothing to see at that time of year. *tuneless whistling*
