Anyone stayed at Papa's Palapas - Sayulita, Mexico?

I'm looking at a surf package that uses Papa's Palapas for their accommodation, but have read mixed reviews at the one site (Trip Advisor) that I could find. Looks like the bungalows (cheapest option) are particularly bad.

Anyone been there or have other suggestions for Sayulita?

We have been to Sayulita twice and are going back for a third time in Feb 09. We like it because it is decent surf and a great town only 4 hours from CO!

We had friends stay at Papa's last year. They stayed in the penthouse which was very nice, but no I haven't heard great things about the cabanas. It can be pretty loud right there too as there are three or four bars/restuarants right there.

We always stay at Jacquelines, she is only 1.5 blocks in from Papa's on the right side of the plaza. She is very nice, and there is no pool but it is small and secure and clean, lots of hammocks and shade and a kitchen in every unit. They don't seem to have an email address, both times we've just showed up and they have had room....it is right next to Ferreteria Jacqueline anyone can point you in the right direction. Its about $15-$25 a night per person depending on the season.

Los Delfines farther up the beach is supposed to be great too. Look at sayulitalife.com
