Last minute Bali - surfcamp

Postby Ugoogle » Sat Aug 02, 2008 7:50 am

Hi guys,

Writing from Italy, and needing to book a last minute trip to escape from this mess.. ;)

I was looking for Bali, since my level is not great, but I've improved in CA, Brasil, Portugal surfing trips..

And those looooooooooooooong waves I've seen...

    _,.-~*'`'*~-.,_ _,.-~*'`'*~-.,_ _,.-~*'`'*~-.,_ _,.-~*'`'*~-.,_ _,.-~*'`'*~-.,_

seemed just great to practice!

So, to be specific
    - I've no equipment
    - Travelling alone
    - Intermediate level (get up, start to move on the wave a little bit, that's all
    - free time --> Last wk August / first September
    - preferring a surfcamp, so to have lessons & know people
    - .. and if anybody wanna join, feel free to contact

Will you share any tips?

Thanks in advance
Ugo

PS= Admins, can I post some links here to share & have feedbacks?

Hi there!!

Just got back from Bali last night. I don't know if there are surfcamps. But surfing schools are everywhere. There are varieties from the well known (Rip Curl, Quicksilver) to the guys who rent boards by the beach, they give out lessons too with board rent. I don't know about the branded surf schools, but those guys by the beach rent their boards from 8 to 15 Euros daily, but you can bargain of course.
Food and accomodations are cheap. You can get a room strating at 18 Euros/night and meals cost about 4 Euros. Beer is about 1 to 2 Euros (depending on brand).
Let me know if you need any more info.
