what do i need for portugal?

hello,my name is craig from s.africa.traveling through indo at the moment and heading for portugal in september and was wondering what wetsuit,if any am i going to need and maybe some info on what part of the coastline i might find the best waves this time of the year.thanks.

Hey mate, well, I think that the water temperature is at its warmest in september, but a 3/2 full suit is a good suit to take with you if you are out for those long sessions. Ericeira (just north of Lisbon) has the best swell and most amount of breaks in one place. Supertubos is only a half hour drive from ericeira, and in the town itself, you have Pedra Blanca (white rock), the reef, and a few more that i can't remember of the top of my head. You also have Ribeira D'Ihlas which is the most consistent of the lot which is only 5 mins drive north of the town itself.
