Posted: Sun Sep 19, 2004 6:04 pmyea i live in tx and surf here. if ur just beginning go with a 9- 10ft longboard. if youve surfed a lot, and paddle good and everything get a fish or a 6'6 and bigger all around. if we had surf like we have had in the past week everyday a short board would be the ticket, but the truth is we dont, so get something that floats good so u will catch some waves and not jus be paddling all the time. see ya in the lineup!

Posted: Sun Sep 19, 2004 9:06 pmya fishing sounds like a good idea, but id bring a board along with u just in case theres surf. we've caught some big redfish and big shark down there. have fun!
