Surfing Waves

Simple question(s):

Where are the most mellow waves in England?
Or the easiest to improve going across the green face?

This is because waves here in the east seem too me to be incredably hard to learn on.

the right beaches in devon and cornwall should have the best shaped waves just avode places like crode and try to head for places with lots of space to spread out

saunton is possibly the mellowest wave on the planet.

rhossili on the gower is pretty mellow.

generally long flat beaches will be more mellow than steep ones.

i do wonder if your problem is less the break but more the type of wave musshy waves are harder to surf than well shaped ones

Well there are constant mushy waves thanks to bad & strong winds

But also

the beach I go to the most (sea palling) gets deep very quickly meaning it is steep.

Pherhaps (god i hate trying to spell that word) I should go for East Runton a flatter beach.

FINALLY. Going to cormwall (watergate bay) for 2 weeks in july so I will check out polzeath sometime

i havent surfed there but id have thought watergate would be perfect
