:?: I´m looking for spots in thailand - not such crowded places like Phuket.
I´ve got my own board. Is the Indian Ocean the better destination in September/October? Thanks for tips

I'll be in Phuket in September for the first time, hoping to catch some surf while I'm there. There are rental shops where you can rent a board for the day or the week so not bringing my own ( as I will be travelling inland in thailand and it will be a hassle)

If you're in phuket around that time drop me a line at
dap75au@hotmail.com and we can check out the surf

Thailand is not really a true surfing destination. I lived there for nearly 9 years and never saw any good surf. I always made trips to Indo to get surf. I have heard stories that Phuket has waves right after a big typhoon, but you would have to live there to get that decent session. A planned trip and you'll most likely get skunked. Indonesia is the way to go.
