Traveling to San Diego this April. Wondering any good spot for a beginner and any shop to rent board and suit. hope water is warmer than SF. Million thanks for your info.

water temps should be a lot better than SF. Where are you staying in SD?

Thx. havnt decided where to stay yet. Maybe somewhere close to beach.

There are loads of beginer friendly beaches in SD most of them have a nearby rental. Mission beach, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach all have decent beginer spots and close rental places.

I hope you get some swell as its flatter than flat at the moment

How long are you planning on staying as it might be more economical to just buy a second hander you can always sell the board before you go to either another surfer or just to a second hand surf shop rather than constantly renting :wink:

Planning to come over in three weeks and stay for a week. Guess I donot need to bring my 4/3 wetsuit.

i surfed mission beach last summer, its nice and theres a great rental shop right by it called cheap rentals, www.cheap-rentals.com
