Beginner spots on Rottnest Island

Postby Andrewr » Sun Mar 09, 2008 1:19 am

I'm going to Rottnest Island (Western Australia) over easter. Are there any spots that would suit a beginner? So far I've only surfed at Lancelin because the waves aen't too big and have a lot of wash.

cheers

Strickland Bay, Salmon Bay and Stark Bay get some pretty good waves. Start with the main beach called transit or transits... Its a tourism tag and this is where most tourists start.
Strickland Bay has been ranked in the top 50 breaks in the world.
