Hey guys

Want to look at doing a trip around August, I've spent quality time in indonessia around bali, lombok, sambawa and sumba along with G-land over in Java. Spent 3 months hanging out there all in all.

Basically want to do another trip, orginally I wanted to go checkout mentawaiis but wanted to get everyones opinion on other options. I heard of classic setups in Somoa and Papa New Guinea for instance. I want to try stay away from crowds for obvious reason and possibly explore some more options.

What do you guys reckon?

Yeah I was there on a boat, I thought the consistency was not as good a bali but in the same breath the crowds were a lot less. Ultimately though you heading over at the right time and the place fires so yeah, no worries you'll have a blast.

Danny,
what is this about not being allowed to surf on Sunday in Somoa? Is it a Christian practice? Is it (American) Somoa?

Looked at going to Samoa for vacation once, everything I read said that the islands are very christian and they take there "rules" seriously. Like you cannot where shorts on sunday. And you must wear a shirt when you aren't on the beach. And sunday activities are not looked upon favorably. Didn't hear about the stoning but who knows.

that's funny about not surfing on sundays, anyway around here sundays is the crowdest day, so just to have an early session, then enjoy the beach and hang out with friends...
