From experience of Tenerife, in September, and MSW I can say its forecast bears little to no resemblence of the actual conditions. When I was there it gave a 4star to a flat day and no star to an awesome day.

Not sure of your ability, but the guys in Tenereife rip, and it can be hard to work way into the lineup. I heard bad things about the way locals can be with tourists but on the whole they were ok, not overly welcoming but then nobody shouted at me or threw rocks!

Theres a great surf shop right on the breaks at Las Americas, K16. A girl from south england works there and is pretty cool, she'll point you out places to go and not to go. Buy reef boots if you don't have any, and watch where locals enter the water as some areas are too damn sharp to venture into.

Sun up was best time for me to hit the water and was usually first out. Gets v v busy as day goes on.

Enjoy!

And apart from that Las Americas is a stinking hole... :D

Wonder if the veronica's have rotted into the ground yet.

Get out and see the island proper, I'm suer theres a good surs spot at Los Gigantes, and make sure you get up & see the mountain. Used to live there...
