There's a good chance that it'll be the last wave you ever surf if it's Teahupo'o or Pipeline. And what about Jaws and Mavericks if we're going to talk about waves that can kill you?

Or even JBay... Good place to lose a leg, At least.

Id rather take my chance with a backhand face plant at solid Chopes than get eaten at J's.

At least if you face plant at Teahupo'o there is a high chance it will either just need a few stitchs or a quick death. Sharks don't tend to be all that quick in taking care of things. Unless they get your head in the first shot then all bets are off.

chopes is more of longboard wave, slow and mellow. the chances of getting hurt there are less than remote

mavs pipe and peahi and nice beach breaks, good place for beginners to learn some skills before they graduate to a reef/point break

  happy christmas everyone!

Where at J-bay are you talking about, unless you are talking supers on a REALLY big day or something (freak storm), as far as I heard it is quite mellow, and some of the footige I've seen looks really mellow, or do you mean sharks.
