Hey guys new here and pretty new to surfing. Been at it for about six seven months. Pretty addictated and I have started planning a trip with a dozen or soo friends to Mexico. I have spent a ton of time in Mexico but normally inland on the river. I need some advice on camping on the beach and coastal travel. Over the years I have heard some major horror stories and would love to avoid becoming one of those stories. It seems that just recently the locals have gotten lets say a little more aggresive. The spot I have chossen is La Fonda and I have targeted Early Febuary. Any help would be great.
Thanks

OK, this is what I have manged to gather up. Number one is starting January 08 passports will be mandatory for passage back into the US. Number two the water quality at the Norhtern breaks in Mexico and Southern San Diego are really bad with some breaks having one year long closures. Camping on the beach is no problem in La Fonda just dont leave anything laying around it could get feet. Have exact change for the toll roads and dont travel alone. The only thing that worries me is the surf with no way to predict that far in advance we are rolling the dice and just to be safe I picked up some horse shoes, frizbee's and if money stays good a SUP. That should cover just about any condition. If I find anything more out I'll post here. If I can figure it out I will post some pics of the trip when we return...
