Hi! I`m going to brazil in about two weeks,(the north east, i will be landing in recife) and will spend about one month there before i`m heading to central amreica(panama costa rica nicaragua). I`ve never surfed before,( but i`m in to wake-boarding and other water sports:i like water) but i`m looking very much forevord to learning it. So i have a few questions:

i was thinking on buying a mini- mal in brazil(ìve heard its really cheap there) beacause they are not as big as a long board(easyer to travel with) and maybe a litle more of an "all round option".

Is this a good beginner board?

Have anyone done som surfing in this area of brazil? whats it like?

any comments will be great!
Thanks!
Asmund(norway)

I know there are a lots of beach breaks here so i figured out its

Hi Asmund, welcome to Surfing Waves,

We have plenty of learning to surf information so make sure you get plenty of tips before you go. You might want to take a quick look at https://surfing-waves.com/atlas/south_america/brazil.html for a bit more information about surfing in Brazil.

A minimal is an excellent choice for a beginners board and will be a lot easier to get around with than a big malibu board.

Perhaps our friend leolivi will have some good information about surfing in Brazil - where are you leolivi

Make sure you take plenty of piccys and send us a few. Hope you enjoy your trip - when are you going?
