Surfing Waves

Hi!
I'm going to Fuertevetura to celebrate my dad's big birthday in january so I thought while Im there I should go surfing too!
I've only surfed för a week so I was wondering if someone has got any tips about spots or where I can rent a board or just anything that will help me?
