Top 10 Surfing Locations

Postby surferpros » Thu Sep 20, 2007 11:35 pm

For round two of our surfing game, I'm looking to alter the locations where a user can host a tournament. So I'm making a makeshift poll:

What are your top-10 best surfing spots in the world?

No, no.

Use local breaks. In other words instead of using all the big waves that you see in videos but hardly anyone ever gets to surf use ones that people have access to.

So when I'm playing the game all of a sudden Thurso East or Fraserburgh Beach pops up and it's somewhere I recognise. It's all to do with being able to relate to the game.

Get people to post local waves that they want to see in the game which you can add to the famous waves.

You know what I mean!

Not secret spots or anything. And obviously the swells would be perfect etc.

It just means you can relate to the game more. By all means have the big waves that I've never heard of but wouldn't it be cool to play it and say "oooh the tour's coming to .........

Ah I give up!

:x

I'm off to the pub! :P

Now, now kids. Play nice.

We're looking for a mix of well-known and unique surfing spots. We're looking to expose surfers to new concepts while maintaining traditional classics.

I never copy anyone - ASP is out.

The random wave generator doesn't discern between locations. Any location can become a pipemasters competition when you park a storm off the coast.

I know. I've surfed it. The eye candy isn't so bad, either.

Boca Barranca, Costa Rica

1 km long lefts, perfect long board wave, and you have to sometimes navigate crocodiles, dead cows, and not getting infections. Sounds perfect for a surfing game to me.
