Noosa.... Mate, good holiday assured!. Sunshine beach gets some good uncrowded waves. Coolum also. Noosa Point can line up pretty good but you often get a few longboards out, especially in School Hols. Ride the small breakwall, cenre of the beach for some good small right handers. There's waves all up and down the Nth East Coast. You could look into hooking up with a good Great Barrier Reef Surf Charter too. Nth Easters bring on the Blue Bottles sometimes. We had a s$#t load in the water here at Mona Vale in NSW last week.

Also... Wouldnt be too worried about the short board. A good tip- if you decide on a longboard, buy second hand at a noosa surf shop. Big money spenders in Noosa, rich guys buy boards for a weekend hol and sell it back to the shop for a fraction. You can pick up some good 2nd hand bargains locally on ebay also.

Hey mate, not sure if youve made it to Noosa yet, but thought i would give you a few tips. Check Alexandra Bay next beach north of Sunshine. Is always a foot bigger than Sunshine and never crowded. Also make sure you do a trip up to Double Island. That place is unreal!!!
