Surfing in the UK

Just wanted to know if anyone can tell me what the waves are like in England? Ive heard good things about Wales but i just wanted to know if i should stop off and have a look around. Have been to London before a few times passing through to France but never bothered to stop as the people are generally angry and hate anyone that dosnt play football. Also without a car im guessing its gona be tough getting down to the south with boards?? Oh and i know its gona be cold.

Travel should'nt be too difficult because you can get the train.

Yeah ive stayed in London while waiting for flights before and getting on the train with boards was a nightmare. No one was willing to help and would just give you this blank look. Im sure ive just had some xxxxx experiences but its not the most helpful place. What are the waves like down south? Is it very consistent and whats the best time to surf there? Have been surfing for 10 years. Heading to morocco soon and wanted to know if i can get some waves inbetween heading to Austria??
