Any good surfing near Guadalajara, Mexico?

Well, I might be going to Guadalajara for a few weeks in the winter, and I was wondering if there are any good spots for surfing nearby? (Yeah yeah, I know that the beach is nearly 5 hrs away, but I've never been to the pacific before and I haven't even surfed at all this year!)

I'm not very experienced, not so into huge waves but if the break is good I'll have courage!

So, what do you guys think. Do have a chance?

Guadalajara is a long ways from the ocean. The nearest beach is probably 300 miles away. Just get to the Pacific coast if you can.
