How much money do you need per month in Indonesia?

Hey ya'll.

So im leaving to Indo on May 28 till Aug 25.

I have budgeted $1000 CDN per month. Thats about 8 million Rupiahs per month.

I wont be renting any gear there as ill have my own.

So it will be mainly shelter and food.

Is 8 million a month enough for both?

If you're not a heavy drinker, and stay in budget accomodation ($5-10 US a night) it'll be more than enough
