Surfing Courses?

Postby kb961373 » Tue Apr 03, 2007 3:22 pm

Hi everyone

I've never surfed before but would like to give it a go. I scuba dive a lot and would like a new challenge. The thing is ... I am in Central Scotland so surfing locally is not really an option I would imagine. I'm off to Europe in the summer Baia Domizia in Italy and Playa Joyel in Northern Spain, both areas have surfing centres. Would it be too tricky to learn to surf there ... Is there a recognised training system like with Scuba or can you use any instructors. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Kirsty

Hello,
i don't that it would be tricky at all to start surfing in those areas, especialy in summer when the swells are small and not so powerfull as winter's, an instructor will help u progress quickly as u will know the basis in the right way since the biguinning, and practicing is very important, i think that it's the key for devoloping your surfing skills
i hope that it will be successfull and that u wil have a good experience
