Beaches fit for beginners near Malibu?

Postby Livin the dream. » Tue Jul 20, 2004 7:15 pm

I'm new to surfing, and would like to find a good spot near Malibu, to learn in a comfortable environment. I'm not interested in fighting with locals. If anyone has some input, I would appreciate it.
Thanks

I see there are no reply posts to your query. Have you learned of some spots through other means? I would like to find out where I too can practice and get better without getting in the way of the veterans!
thanks

I have been surfing at County Line when it's not to busy. It has such a long break, there is plenty of room for everyone. Also Sunset is a pretty good place to go if you want to practice. If you are south of there, you could do Venice or El Porto. They seem to be good places for beginers.
Good Luck,
