Hossegor in September

Postby alec » Mon Aug 02, 2004 5:17 pm

I am a beginner (can get up and ride 4 - 5 ft unbroken waves - but nothing fancy) and am planning to go to Hossegor in early September.

Does anyone know how big the surf gets down there at that time?

Have surfed there in June & July (and Cornwall in July) without too many problems but want to know if it's likely to be way too big for me.

Thanks

Ok man.September is the best time to go to hossegor, no crowd, off shores waves all the day, accomodation prices are more interesting.
Usually the size are between 3 and 7 feets glassy....
If you want to get real good barels go to the spot called "la piste" in capbreton just near hossegor.Best spot for barrel in france
In september the bad thing is that there are not too many people in the city and the hossegor 's nights are not hot as in the summer (girly speaking) .
Enjoy your stay
