indonesia "off-season"

Postby fettapetta » Sun Sep 10, 2006 8:05 pm

Hi!
Im probably going to indonesia in october/november and i wonder if its unsurfable nov-april or is it nice anyway for a beginner?

How's the weather during the "monsoon"? no clear skies? does it rain like every day?

Would you prefer visiting other southeast asian countries during this time of the year? (skip surfing?)

thanks

I was in Bali last februari... I thought the waves were great (im a beginner), but the locals said the surf was much better (bigger waves) in august...
I was there for about 4 weeks and we had surfable waves almost every day. (again, im a beginner... so I dont need/dont want huge waves). It rained alot, maybe 10 out of 30 days... and when it rains in Bali it rains alot.

Some friends of mine went there in November last year... they had great weather all the time.... no rain at all I think... so I wouldnt worry too much about that... just go there...
