Surfing in Fuerteventura

Postby Mat Fearon » Fri Apr 21, 2006 4:28 pm

I am an intermediate surfer whom is thinking of going to Fuerta for a couple of weeks in the middle of May. However, I have been told that the waves will be pretty flat at that time of the year.

Am I right? Let me know what you think.
Mat.

November trough march is the best season.

April is usually good as well, and in may it slows down. Summertime is not worth it.

To be honest its gonna be a lottery whenever you go cos you do get waves all year but slightly less lightly in summer. Its not dependant on cyclones or anything so it doesn't 'switch off' like many places. I have been in winter before and it was flat, also in summer before and it went off so...
Maybe just try not to book too far ahead and check the forcast on Magic Seaweed for the general trend :? .
