Perth for surf?

Hey guys, parents are talking of a move to Australia, so might be going down under within a year or so! Just wondering if any of you could tell me some good spots that arnt too far from perth (Western Australia)

Hey man, I went out to Perth for 3 months a few years back. Rottnest Island has got some sick breaks, just ask around...also, scarborough or scabs as its known is the most popular for the Perth people. Then of course further south you've got margaret river, but thats a completely different ball-game!!! Have fun man, you won't want to leave!! :o

Here is a bit more info.
Basically Trigg is the most consistent break in Perth. Head north for Yanchep waves, south for Margaret River (loads of spots)
Surf on the city beaches is crowded when it is any good.
There are definately worse places to be moving to.
