Has anyone surfed San Pancho Beach in Mexico?

I had never heard of San Pancho until some friends clued me in to this awesome surf spot in Mexico in a small beach town called San Pancho (or officially called San Franscico) just North of Puerto Vallarta.

The water is crystal clear and the waves are great.
The best thing was that it's a quiet town with lots of restaurants and things to do. I like the fact that I was back in nature and not in a big city (I live in Los Angeles)

Where would I get more info on places to stay at San Pancho ? Would it be a good place to bring my wife and kids too. Is thre small surf to learn on and how far from the beach are the places to stay Rhanks Dirk
