hello anybody,
has anybody had bad experiences with sharks in australia, especially in the west??? i want to go to au about 10 or eleven months and i am very afraid of sharks. tell me please, bye

what a question... every day is different from the one that preceeded it. I have seen sharks whilst surfing but never had any real problem; two occations that do spring to memory are:

1. When my mate got charged (only 1.5 to 2m long), scared the sh%t out of us. We with the other 15+ people went straight in.
2. The other was about 8:00pm just got dark, about 8 guys out and some wop'n great creature comes flying out of the face of a wave... we think that it was a killer whale but definatly not a shark... there isn't much you can do about them, after all it is there home.

Live with it or stay out of the water.
