Surfing Miami

Postby jaypilch » Tue May 04, 2004 1:45 pm

There are a few decent spots to surf in Miami with this most interesting being right at the end of South Beach near the north jetty of the inlet. Typically the place is pretty flat during the summer but there is always the chance of waves...just watch the weather...here is a coupe of links that will provide you the weather info and show you some of the juice South Beach can put out:

No surf on the west coast unless a hurricane or tropical storm is spinning out in the gulf of mexico.

you can also go to Bal harbour right after the bridge on collins av or the palm beach area 1 hour drive from miami. Juno pier and juno inlet are two good options
