I haven't noticed too much of a difference, mostly b/c I just surf at 67th St. for the convenience of the A train. But I've surfed at 90th street more than few times and the main thing I've noticed is just the bigger crowd ...
It's the same beach just a mile away, facing the same way so the swell directions would all hit the same. I have to imagine wind would be the same as well.
Is it the bathymetry of the breaks at 67/77 vs 90th street? That's the only other thing I can think of. If so, can folks point me to resources that show how/why that is? I don't see bathymetry referenced often and I have no idea how I would read a map/chart of bathymetry info if I even saw one.
