[Beginner] Where in North Spain?

I moved to Barcelona recently and I'd like to go somewhere on the Spanish Atlantic coast for few days in the first week of December.

Where do you guys suggest a beginner go now? Any beginner spots where I can still practice?

I am afraid I will find only huge waves anywhere in the Atlantic now?

Any recommendations are more than welcome.

Not sure about Spain but I can suggest Ericeira, Foz do Lizandro or Praia do Sul in Portugal. I just got back from there, the weather and the waves are just amazing. Now I'm looking for property near the coast near to the coast, maybe I can have you as a guest one day if you decide to come
