I ask your help to organize a trip in August. Was thinking to go to Oaxaca, Mexico.
I have three questions ...
Waves
As far as I know, it is huge in August. Puerto Escondido is obviously out of my reach. But do you think it's possible to find more protected spots? Maybe going east, Salina Cruz area ... I don't know ..
I look for about 1.5 mt (2 mt max) not too heavy. The best would be if there is also a good variety of waves, like L/R and point / BB, reachable within a few hours by car.
Safety
How dangerous is it to drive around in the car, considering that I'm alone? Of course I would only be out during the day.
I don't mind driving. Indeed, for me it is very important to feel free to move and I do not like the idea of being stuck in one place.
Weather
How high (and dangerous..) is the hurricane risk?
Other than that, I imagine the typical tropical situation, quite variable, with sunshine and intense rain. But if you tell me that it rains all day, than it's something to take into account seriously ...
