Sargiao Philippin Surf in April? 3-5 ft?

Hi guys,

I'm going to do a Southeast Asia trip between April and July. I'm planning to go to Philipines - Indonesia - Vietnam - Cambodia - Thailand.
As a first stage I wanted to do a lot of surfing and enjoy that's why I put Philipinnes and Indonesia.

My main question is whether I will be able to enjoy and have a decent good surf (maybe between 3-5ft) in Sargiao. I want to go there 1st till the 18 of April.
I know it's not the best season but it would also be nice to know a new country, I've never been to Philippines.

Hi Fhuneeus, , April ain't all bad averaging about 4ft swell and unfortunately onshore winds probably producing the swell the period of 9 seconds bears this out, but there is a solution ! Be keen get up at first light the swell will be there before the winds get up. Not so secret tropical surf strategy,. Enjoy

Heyy, I know people who are in Siargao now, saying the waves are not pumping.. Maybe they're not surfing early enough like Jaffa suggested.
But surf spots Jacking Horse and Cloud 9 are closed, due to surfing accidents occurred weeks ago. So other surf spots are probably cramped.. The boardwalk to Cloud 9 is also infinitely closed for maintenance. So i'd recommend you to go maybe later in summer.
