Surfing in japan

Hey, I 'am moving to okinawa japan for 2yrs to live. I'm a florida surfer only riding waves getting barely head high without a hurricane or somethin. I'm pretty descent at surfing beach breaks but Reefs are a diffrent ballgame. If anyone knows about surfing in okinawa and what's the best type of boardfor these conditions that would be awesome.thanks for the help

born and raised in japan. great place to be, people are FREAKING FRIENDLY. so dont be shy or nothing. i cant recall the surf spots there since its been 11 years since i've been there
