Beginner-level surfing in November

Postby Marins » Sun Sep 25, 2016 7:40 am

Hi everybody!

This is my first post on the forum and you guys seem to know a lot about surfing :)

I'm a rookie surfer as I just did a beginner-level weekend course on the west coast of Ireland last summer (and I liked it a lot!).

I was thinking to do 4 days of surfing during a long weekend in mid-November. Would this be a good time for a person who's not that familiar with surfing, but who's eager to learn?

In terms of places, I'd be considering Algarve (in Portugal) and the Canary Islands (Tenerife or Lanzarote). Is one definitely better than the other?

Can't help you with location but I do warn that by the 4th and maybe even the 3rd day of surfing you will be exhausted. Not that this should stop you but go a bit easy on the first two days
