Best University for Surfing in California

Hi guys!
My name is Julia, I'm from Brazil and I'm planning on engaging on an extension course in California, but I'm still having doubts about which University I should pick. Initially I thought about UCLA, because I have a degree in Social Communications and would like to study something related to that, like Films, TV or Digital Media, and I believe they are the best at it. But I also surf here in Rio, and would LOVE to go to a school that would help me to keep at it! I've been surfing for a little bit less than a year, so I'm still in the begginers/ intermediate level of surfing, and am not so into big or complicated waves. What University is closer to breaks appropriate for that level of surfing? Please help me decide =) I'm not so familiar with the California territory!
