Last minute solo surf trip - recommendations needed

I have a 7-10 day window next week (I I've in AZ) and looking for a chill surf scene in either Central America, Mexico or possibly Hawaii. Prefer a rustic setting with easy laid back waves that I can walk to (or rent a scooter) from a bungalow or surf resort type place. Not looking for a party scene exactly, but something with some style. Been to CR a ton (Santa Teresa) and loved that but looking for something different. Ideas?

I'm leaning towards Nicaragua as I hear good things, but looking for a cool spot to hang and get all zen style.

Travel is easy via Miami. We are 20 minutes away from Puerto Plata international airport. 50% of our guests are solo travelers so it's real easy to meet fellow surfers to hang out with
