Carpool from Berkeley to ocean beach for surf?

Hey guys! I'm staying in Berkeley for the summer and want to find someone I can carpool with from Berkeley. Let me know I'm down to throw in for gas, and I can handle myself in the water. Anyone down??

I hope somebody comes forward with a ride share. My wife and I lived in Berkeley on McGee St (off University Ave) a very long time ago. Many years later, I learned to surf and surfed regularly at Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz, Bolinas, Dillon Beach, and Salmon Creek. Once in a great while, I'd go all the way into Mendocino County to Caspar Creek. i wasn't strong enough or good enough to surf regularly at Ocean Beach. However, I bought a used board from a regular Ocean Beach surfer. I'm now based in Santa Barbara and sometimes I get up there for business and will watch the Ocean Beach surfers in the evening.

There are some cool surf shops near Ocean Beach. Maybe you could check in with them about finding other Berkeley surfers. Maybe you could even pin a notice up in them. Try these: Wise Surf Shop, Mollusk Surf Shop, Aqua Surf Shop, and, maybe, Sunset Shapers. Not sure if SF Surf Shop is still around.
