Where to move in Hawaii?

Postby sunshine » Thu Nov 15, 2012 9:04 pm

Hiya,

Any Hawaiians on here? I'm looking at job opportunities in the state and right now my options are Big Island (Kealakekua), Oahu (Leahi, Aiea), and Maui (Wailuku). I've never been and before I apply, I'm hoping to figure out which area will allow for the most surf time. I've heard Maui gets pretty windy and is mostly kite-surfers but beyond that..I know nothing. If you have any tips or know of any good websites to refer to, I would greatly appreciate it. As a side note, I am a female and will be moving there solo so relative safety of these locations is also something I need to consider.

Thanks heaps!
