Surfing Peru -- Need some advice!

Postby supamaorifella » Fri May 20, 2011 10:12 am

I am going to head to Peru in February next year - I can't handle another UK winter. Does anyone have advice about:
1. What the conditions are like this time of year?
2. Wetsuit?
3. Flu shots?
4. Best spots?
5. How far my money will go?
6. Visas
7. Type of board to take?

Any help would be great guys!!

1. What the conditions are like this time of year?

The North of Peru, Mancora , Cabo Blanco , Organos, etc will have some epic fast and big left handers in the North swells.
2. Wetsuit?
Spring suit should do in their summer there.
3. Flu shots?
Check your doctor

4. Best spots?
Mellow = mancora, the rest is fast barreling left handers.
5. How far my money will go?
Accomodation is around 10-30 dollars per night for basic stuff, a good dinner can be had for 5-10 dollar
6. Visas
Standart tourist visa will do
7. Type of board to take?
Depends on what type of waves you want to surf.

Have fun
