Basically Im fairly new to surfing having done bits when alot younger, Im heading to South America next month for 6 and plan to surf as much of the west coast as I can, ending up in Rio to fly home so some on the east too.
What Im Struggling with so far is finding the possibility of getting a new board in the tayrona national park region of colombia, or anywhere between tayrona and bogota? any advice about surf shops/shapers around that area would be a massive help. Otherwise I might have to wait until into peru for a board??
Ive read around that detachable fins are a good thing for travelling on buses etc, does this affect board performance negativly or is it much and such between removable and fixed fins?
Any advice or help will be a benifit to my trip
