Traveling through central & south america w/two boards

Postby aguaazul » Tue Oct 05, 2010 5:32 am

I'm leaving for a year long surf adventure in december - starting in costa rica and hopefully spending time in panama, nicaragua, peru, brazil, chile... and many more unplanned places. My question is - how hard is it to travel with two short boards for an extended period of time? I'm traveling alone and planning on staying in hostels and taking busses when possible... I've traveled to panama and nicaragua for short trips with boards and can deal with the plane, its just long term getting around/ and theft at hostels that I'm worried about... Any advice?

Thanks!
